Actually it wasn’t all that shocking. He basically said what Romney was running on. With regard to people wanting things. As a taxpayer you’re darn right I expect things for the hard earned money that’s taken out of my paycheck. I expect higher performing schools, I expect roads and bridges and infrastructure to be safe and modern. I expect my government not to spend recklessly by not “investing” my tax dollars into wars we should never have been in. And should I become unemployed I expect to receive the benefits that I paid into with my hard earned dollars. Yes the AMERICAN people expect things because they pay a high tax rate and should expect the government to be there to provide when they fall or in their old age. We’ve paid for that.
