Nene Leakes is a star, but she is Nobody’s Friend

Nene Leakes is the star of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. What she says goes and if you challenge her supremacy you will find yourself watching the show versus being on the show. Nene was tight with Kim and when they broke up Kim was soon history. She fought with Sheree, and then Sheree was a goner. She handpicked Marlo, but when Marlo crossed her she dismissed her, but last night Nene took it to a new level. Cynthia her good and faithful servant became the latest to be a member of the former friend list. Cynthia Bailey has been there for Nene. She has been her ride or die chick even when the viewers questioned Cynthia’s sanity. A couple of week’s ago on the show Nene called Cynthia’s husband Peter a “bitch.” It’s hard to come back from that kind of insult, but Cynthia seemingly accepted Nene’s non-apology apology. Last night during an interview with Andy Cohen, Nene unleashed her wrath on Cynthia, and she also through some shade on former castmate, Sheree. Last night Nene had a platform provided by the network and she suggested that Cynthia should be dismissed from the show. It is hard to break it off with Nene. If you are on the show you do so at your own peril. A few weeks ago my son was home from school and he sat down with us and watched some of the show. He said that Nene was a “beast”, and I have to agree with him. She devours her enemies. Nene has gone from being a fun loving down to earth woman on Season 1 who made us laugh to being a “star”. She has improved her looks, her clothing and her stature, but along the way she shed the persona that made us root for her. The fact is Nene is a star, but last night she proved she is nobody’s friend.
