Hillary Clinton needs to move on

Yesterday, I listened to Hillary Clinton say if the election had been held on October 27th she would have been elected president. This is flawed logic from a flawed candidate. She lost. No team wins a game just because they have a half time lead. The game is only half way over. Clinton is clinging to whys that make her comfortable with the loss. She never had a message that stuck. She simply discredited her opponent and that simply was not enough. She failed to visit the states she should have won. She just simply refuses to accept the facts. This does not negate the Russian interference, but Clinton needs to move on and let us do the same.

Hillary is Back looking good, but the Democrats need to run in the opposite direction

Last night Hillary Clinton appeared with a sharp new hairdo and a black leather pantsuit. She has turned the page and that page does not seem to include the mommy pantsuits. She was speaking out against Trump policies and she has a right to speak, but we can not let her start her relevancy tour. While we are glad to see her she can not be the standard bearer of the future. The Democrats need new leadership for a new era. Last week I heard pundits asking was Joe Biden the candidate of the future. By 2020 Biden will be close to 80. There have got to be some leaders somewhere under the age of 65, and the Democrats need to find them or we might be looking at a lost White House in 2020.

Why would Donna Brazile ruin her reputation for Hillary Clinton?

Donna Brazile finally admitted that she forwarded debate questions to Hillary Clinton. She had been accused of this during the summer but she made her admission yesterday. The question is why? Why would you give up your good reputation by doing something this stupid. Hillary Clinton has moved on but Brazile’s reputation is damaged. America believes in comebacks and hopefully brazile will get one.

The Election is over but the pain continues

Election 2016 was a different kind of election. It was vulgar and often mean-spirited. It pretty much left me depressed, but it is over now. So where do we go from here? On January 20th Donald Trump will be sworn into office. Protestors are still running around saying he is not my president, but the reality star actually is or will be. So do you protest for 4 years? It can be done some protested against President Obama for 8 years but he too was still the president. Is it productive to just protest or should the protesters mobilize? Should we give the new president a chance or has too much water gone under the bridge? Share your thoughts.

Watching Sunday’s debate was like swimming in the sewer

Watching the debate Sunday night was like taking a dip in the sewer. After watching it I could not sleep so I for one am done. I know that I am voting for Hillary Clinton so there is no benefit in watching this debate debacle. I don’t need to see a parade of “other women”. Since the Tiger Woods situation there has been an elevation of the other women. They have been portrayed a victims when they were really participants. These women like the Clinton women knew this man had a wife so they made a decision to have an affair with a married man, and Donald Trump attempted to smear Hillary Clinton for being on the attack mode toward women who sought to destroy her marriage. Really? No,this is too much for me and I like to swim in clean water.

NBC …a gang of hypocrites?

Billy Bush will probably lose his job at NBC. He was the hype man for Donald Trump’s profane tirade. He laughed and told the actress to give “The Donald” a hug when they disembarked the bus. NBC has suspended Bush and the talk on the street is that he will be fired. Keep in mind NBC is the network that gave Trump free reign when he started his birther assault on the President. He was a frequent guest on the Today Show and they let him spew his birther talk on every visit. Now they are firing Bush. Keep in mind this is the same network that found a place for Brian Williams on their sister station MSNBC. So let’s get real if Bush is fired it won’t be for this it will simply be they wanted to get rid of him.

What Do you Have to Lose and Vote for Hillary Clinton or you insult my legacy…which one of these is insulting?

A few weeks ago Donald Trump appealed to black voters by asking them “what the hell do you have to lose?”. Many in the community including me found his approach insulting. He was not presenting a positive message. It was a message seemingly tailored to one segment of the black community, but Saturday night President Obama seemingly took a strange turn. The first part of his speech worked but the “insult to my legacy” was downright myopic. So I should vote for Clinton to preserve his legacy? I get the underlying point a Trump presidency would undo gains made but voters vote for candidates that will work hard to make life better for others not to preserve a legacy. It is also interesting that throughout his presidency and his run for the office President Obama has tended to lecture the black community rather than appeal to our better angels. Please tell me who else he has used this approach on? Share your thoughts.

Life in the Land of the Deplorables

This is a sad election. Two deeply flawed candidates are running for the highest office in the land. We are all flawed but we are not all running for the presidency. Hillary Clinton called 1/2 Donald Trump’s supporters a “basket of deplorables.” That is wrong to label a group in this way, but where were the outraged right when Trump utters deplorable things about so many other great Americans? Manafactured outrage is rampant on both sides and we the people are left to wonder how we this deplorable election end.

What does Donald Trump mean when he says Hillary Clinton does not look presidential?

Donald Trump is constantly saying Hillary Clinton does not have the “stamina” to be president. Another thing he loves to say is “she doesn’t look presidential”. What do you think he means by this? Is it because she is a woman? Share your thoughts.

Donald Trump asks black people what do you have to lose?

Words to remember in the voting booth.
