Cindy McCain Slams Glenn Beck for dissing her daughter

What a difference 3 years makes. Glenn Beck used to be the darling of the conservatives, but now they have abandaoned him and are criticizing him for just being himself. Beck made disparaging remarks about Meghan McCain. McCain has made some PSAs regarding skin cancer and Beck made fun of her size and suggested that she needed to put on some clothes.  It is so funny to see his former friends deserting him. He was an asset in 2008 when he was carrying the GOP water bucket, but now he is vile. Where was the outcry for his head when he criticized the intelligence of one of the president’s daughters? Selective outrage is the bedfellow of hypocrisy. So yes Beck is vile, but this is not a new development. Now more of his former friends are calling him that.

Cindy McCain Is Now in Full Attack Mode

Cindy McCain took center stage today. She lashed out against Barack Obama. As her husband determines just how low he will go she has decided to join him on the low road. She accused Obama of abandoning the troops.  He voted against a funding bill for Iraq because it did not have a timeline. She neglected to tell the crowd that her husband John McCain voted against a similar bill a couple of months prior because it did have a timeline. Cindy McCain said “The day that Sen. Obama cast a vote to not to fund my son when he was serving sent a cold chill through my body let me tell you.”  The gloves are off and all the McCains will be stepping up to the microphone in full attack mode. This week we have heard his brother call Obama supporters “communists, now his wife accused Obama of abandoning the troops, the only one left is his mother, but I guess they are saving her for next week.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Slams Michelle Obama At GOP Luncheon

At a luncheon for Republican women at last week’s convention Elizabeth Hasselbeck slammed Michelle Obama. The View had both Cindy McCain and Michelle Obama appear on their show recently. Hasselbeck said that Cindy McCain came in with no agenda. She went on to say Cindy McCain had nothing to hide. Whereas her counterpart Michelle Obama had a list of topics that were off limits, I wonder why? Could it be the press has not attacked Cindy McCain the same way they have gone after Michelle Obama?  The interesting thing about the women on the view is they do all have diverse viewpoints that they freely express, but to take the backstage workings of the show and expose a guest to ridicule is a low blow and it should make future guests wonder what will they be saying about them to the press after their appearance.

Cindy McCain Can Give It Out, But She Can’t Take it

“I’m offended by Barack Obama saying that about my husband,” she told ABC News in an interview set to air Sunday. Asked if she thought Obama had gone too far in his criticism, she said “I do. I do. I really do.” She believes that the Obama team has gone too far in their criticism of McCain regarding the number of homes they own. She said she is proud of what her parents were able to do and she should be. The thing that makes this laughable is when Michelle Obama came under fire about her “controversial” comments First Lady Bush said she understood what Michelle Obama was trying to say, but on more than one occasion Cindy McCain took the opportunity to pile it on. When Barack Obama and Michelle Obama were portrayed as terrorists on the New Yorker Magazine we did not see the press asking Michelle Obama if she was offended. The Republican State parties have used Michelle Obama and other relatives of Obama in offensive ads but no one comes around and asks them are they offended. So if Cindy McCain is a little ticked about the fact that their wealth is being put on blast so be it. McCain and the gang are throwing their share of dirt and mud at Obama so Cindy McCain needs to learn some of this mud is coming her way. Deal with it.

Cindy McCain Speaks Fluently Out of Both Sides of Her Mouth

One needs a scorecard to keep up with Cindy McCain. On Good Morning America she took the opportunity to slam Michelle Obama regarding the proud to be an American remark, but she had another response for CNN. “I do not think that spouses and family members … are fair game,” she told CNN’s John King. “There has to be some decorum left in politics and in American journalism as well. Our husbands are the candidates,” she said.” Which way is it? Michelle Obama is fair game, but you are not. Mrs. McCain can’t simply spout platitudes when convenient, and pull out the attack claws on other occasions. If  they are off limits it has to apply to both of them

Cindy McCain is No Laura Bush

When Good Morning America asked Mrs. Bush about Michelle Obama’s comments about being proud of her country she simply said I believe she was saying that she was very proud. The current first lady did not look at it as an anti-American or unpatriotic remark. She advised Mrs. Obama to be more careful and that truly showed grace and class. On Good Morning America Cindy McCain took the opportunity to re-introduce the issue, I don’t know why she said what she said, all I know is that I have always been proud of my country.”  Mrs. Obama has addressed this issue on a number of occasions, but this is a Republican talking point. I used to believe this attack on Michelle Obama was coming from the radical wing of the Republican Party, but when you hear the candidate’s wife say it you know this is sanctioned by the Republican candidate. Mrs. McCain has a lot of skeletons in her own closet, but the Obama campaign has not pulled them out, but Cindy McCain would be wise to remember the old saying, “if you live in a glass house you should not throw stones.”
