President’s Day makes us take a critical look at the current one

Today we celebrate the Presidents. Over the past 240 years we have had 45 men occupy the office. We have not always agreed with their stance on issues, but we have respected the office. In 2017 that has become difficult, but not impossible. We have got to respect the office, but the current occupant has to earn our respect, and that can not be achieved when the occupant is fast and loose with the truth. When we hear him talking about what happened in Sweden last night, and the Swedes ask “what is he smoking?” We have to recognize we have a problem. Throughout the campaign he made outrageous statements to the cheers of his adoring 40% and many said after the victory he would start acting presidential, but he has not changed. He is still loose with the tongue and that is to our detriment. Yes, he is the president and we can give up on the ridiculous thought that at some point he will start acting presidential. That is simply not going to happen.

Let’s impeach him. The president misspoke when he said “look at what happened in Sweden last night” instead of “look at what was reported last night to have happened in Sweden”. But I seriously doubt the Swedes are wondering what he’s smoking. They know only too well how their society is being devastated by the influx. You apparently haven’t been informed of this problem by your news source. Maybe this will provide you with some insight.

He has not committed an impeachable offense, but he does have loose lips and we know what they do.

Your point on loose lips is well made. And it is equally important to not “loosely” listen.  The left wing media has become apoplectic because they “heard” President Trump claim that there was a report of a terrorist attack the previous night.  He never uttered the words terror or terrorist attack.  While he did misspeak as I previously stated, as journalist who had an obligation to elicit clarification of his comment but failed to do so, their faux pas was at least as egregious.  Loose lips are not the only problem in effective communications and can be as damaging.

Here’s an update on the peaceful assimilation of the Muslim migrants in a Swedish “no go” zone as of last night 2/20/17. Maybe Donald Trump is not as wacko as you folks on the left characterize him. And you might want to rethink your news sources. I’ve found that many refuse to report stories that run counter to their narrative.
