Life in the Land of the Deplorables

This is a sad election. Two deeply flawed candidates are running for the highest office in the land. We are all flawed but we are not all running for the presidency. Hillary Clinton called 1/2 Donald Trump’s supporters a “basket of deplorables.” That is wrong to label a group in this way, but where were the outraged right when Trump utters deplorable things about so many other great Americans? Manafactured outrage is rampant on both sides and we the people are left to wonder how we this deplorable election end.

Em, are you saying that there was no outrage from the Right when Donald said stupid things? Clearly you weren’t paying attention. How many times were prominent Republican party leaders put on the spot by “intrepid reporters” to comment on things The Donald said? How many times did Ryan and McCain and others have to carefully navigate the course between disavowing the statement and disavowing the candidate? Where is that happening on the Left with Hillary? (Yeah, I know she said she shouldn’t have said what she said, but you can’t unring a bell). I just hope everyone remembers on Election day that “Deplorable Lives Matter”.

Thank you Elogam, I think that what we have here is a case of selective memory.
