Wendy Williams learned the hard way don’t mock NAACP or HBCU the consequences can be devestating

Wendy Williams is known for her sharp tongue. She does not take prisoners but sometimes she goes too far, and last week she did. These comments cost her a sponsorship with Chevorolet. Williams should have known better but she didn’t and it cost her.

Both comments and trackbacks are currently closed.

Your choice of words provide a vivid reflection of your bias. Please point out to me what Wendy Williams said that mocks the NAACP and HBCUs. I only heard her express her view if these organizations were expressly representative of white people. There are many other black people who agree with her. Do you dispute her perception?

Stop playing word games as sometimes people who may be conservative and possibly of another race like to do. Especially when it is someone black saying things as what she did.

She foolishly said in a nutshell of why the need for NAACP or they don’t have historically white colleges and universities (when in actuality most colleges/universities not HBCU are traditionally white). You should do your background research to know ironically enough Wendy Williams is a graduate of a white university.

Her perception you say she has is basically her putting her foot in her mouth discussing serious news oriented subject. When her main expertise and insight is into shallow silly celebrity gossip.

Stop playing word games? Please! Name for me any organization that is designated as being historically and expressly white. And thank you very much for the suggestion to research Wendy William’s background. I know which university she attended and that in no affects my premise. But I do understand how many people derive comfort from continuing to embrace racial victimization status. LET IT GO!

Funny Bill that as you post this? Roland Martin went on Williams shows to give an education on HBCUs. Which it appears you could use a good viewing of. Especially as to how it is more of others going to these institutions than blacks.

Hilarious that an organization has to say white or a variation of it in order to be named as such. When in actuality they just are. The Ivy League schools are historically and expressly white. As well as a majority of non HBCU in this country. So again stop with the word games.
