Just saw Barbershop The Next Cut today and if you have not seen it I encourage you to do so. Sure there are plenty of laughs, but the heart of the story is a father’s love for his son. A black father’s love. I say that because this is not the kind of story that gets much media play. We see black fathers on the Maury Povich show turning flips when they find out that they are not the father. We see the glorification of gang bangers, but we rarely see loving fathers standing up for their children. Go see it and you will be inspired.
