Has Kirk Franklin evolved beyond the gospel world?

Kirk Franklin is currently celebrating 20 years in the business. He has evolved from gifted songwriter into the ultimate entertainer. Is he still about the gospel or is he more about the entertainer? Share your thoughts.

    I remember when this song first came out. It followed up “Why we Sing” and it was more of a rockin’ tune. Kirk has always tried to reach out to the audience with different styles and different collaborations. I do have to wonder if he’s forgotten the axiom of “If you want to crossover, make sure you take the CROSS over with you.” Is he still presenting the gospel in it’s simplest and purest form? Is he trying to be subtle, or is he laying it out in full view? He has an opportunity for ministry that cannot be missed, or his entire endeavor is a waste.

    Didn’t he at one point have a song called STOMP? I enjoyed that one.
