Iranian Hostages Released, good news? Well not to everyone

Four Iranian hostages have been released. Surely this is good news to all Americans. Not so fast. We are citizens of a partisan America. We take sides on everything and this is no different. The Republicans reaction to the news is muted at best. Have we really reached a point where good news is no longer good? Share your thoughts.

Could you provide evidence of your “implication” that the Republicans don’t regard the release of the hostages as good news? I’ve not seen anything in the new coverage that I’ve been observing that suggests that.

Listen and watch Ted Cruz’ response.

Virtually all of the presidential candidate expressed joy for the hostages gaining their freedom. However concerns about the terms of their release have been raised and based on this administration’s history of poor negotiation how can any reasonable person be anything but suspicious. Do you remember the case of Beau Bergdahl, the low ranking U.S soldier who was captured by the Taliban and subsequently released in exchange for five of the highest ranking Taliban generals we imprisoned at Guantanamo? That was a bit of hardnose negotiating.

Well, well, just as I suspected; once again this administration gave away the store in an attempt to find something to put in the “accomplishments” section on his resume. The U.S. released seven PRISONERS as in individuals who had been convicted of terrorist related acts in exchange for four or maybe five “HOSTAGES” that is individuals who had committed no illegal acts. And there is the impending release and dropping of charges by the U.S. for many more PRISONERS. So is there really any reason to question anyone’s skepticism of this administration’s diplomacy?
