Who is afraid of Donald Trump? Answer: The Republican Party

Donald Trump is a rude bully. He has been called to task regarding a number of statements he made regarding illegal immigrants. He has been condemned for his statements and he has lost a number of business deals, but he still won’t stop talking. It has been interesting watch his fellow GOP candidates squirm when they are asked to comment on Trump’s remarks. Their condemnation has not been as swift or as brutal as the business interests. Why are they afraid to condemn Trump? They want to stay in his good graces. He will never be the GOP nominee but he has fascinated a fringe of the party and the other candidates want that fringe. So they will keep their hands on their ears and listen to the sounds of silence when Trump is talking. the problem is we hear him and we have to ask ourselves why are they acting like they don’t.

He’s has 0% chance of being President. Everyone knows that. Best to ignore him. Even the GOP figured that out….

……And the left wing mainstream media. They recognize how much his message on illegal immigration, although impolitic, is resonating with millions of Americans and legal immigrants as well who endured the arduous hoops required to come here legally. This is why they mischaracterize what he actually said.

Trump’s GOP opponents are not reticent because they give a rip about offending him. They are concerned about alienating millions of Americans who are fed up with both parties turning a blind eye to the illegal immigration problem. Both parties are enablers for different reasons. The Chamber of Commerce fund Republican campaigns to get the cheap labor and the Democrats want an expanded underclass which makes for reliable Democrat voters.

I find it interesting that reporters are on a mission to collect statements from ALL the republican candidates, much like a scavenger hunt, asking “what do you think about what TRUMP had to say…?” If I were running, I’d simply say, “I don’t want or NEED to talk about what another candidate has to say. I want to talk about what I want to say. Here’s my plan to fix immigration. Here’s what I’m looking at as far as the economy, here’s my idea on getting people back to work….” Camera time is precious. You want to spend that time on YOU, not on what DONALD said.
