Should Marshawn Lynch talk to the media?

If you have ever had a job you have probably done some things you did not want to do. You have probably done some things you disagree with, but you did it. Unless your employer is asking you to do something illegal or immoral you do what you are asked to do. That is why I find the conversation surrounding Marshawn Lynch ridiculous. Lynch is on the Seattle Seahawks team, and when he goes “Beastmode” he is unstoppable, but he is an employee of the NFL and as an employee he has responsibilities to the organization. One of those responsibilities is to talk to the media and for some reason Lynch does not want to do it. When he appeared at media day he stated repeatedly when questioned that he was there so he would not be fined. What is amazing to me is to hear people defend his antics. As an employee there are some things you’ve got to do and this pertains to Lynch too. Share your thoughts.

Well, he spoke and he won’t have to pay a fine…Lynch found a creative way around media day.

While I’m not saying I agree with what he’s doing, I will say that calling him a “pompous jerk” is reducing him based on his disdain for dealing with the press.

He’s a great athlete. He does work in his hometown to help disadvantaged youth. While his attitude concerning a particular facet of his job is annoying and confusing, I won’t presume to know what his reasons are. Therefore, until he informs us otherwise, I’m gonna try to assume the best of him.

if its part of his job description.. he should do it..It seems like he has a personal issue with speaking.
