Secret Service Director Julia Pierson resigns over security lapses

Julia Pierson resigned today. She did the right thing. Too many security lapses. She had to go.

    It is refreshing to see accountability and integrity on display in this administration. If you caught the president’s performance on 60 Minutes, you can see his normal modus operandi: “It’s someone else’s fault!” Tossing folks under the bus has been raised to an artform. I’m waiting for the statute of limitations to expire on blaming Bush for everything this president has not handled well or failed to do.

    While I personally accept the premises of all of the points made in this ad, I think it comes across as political pandering. To opponents of the Republican party I suspect this will serve as evidence that Republicans are none of those things, if so they would not find it necessary to mention them. As for most black voters in America I don’t they would even hear what Jesus campaigns on if he ran for office as a Republican.
