Why is Rush Limbaugh slamming Beyonce?

Beyonce is getting alot of buzz for her new song Bow Down Bitches. I wrote about this earlier in the week. I am not a fan of this particular song, but I found it funny to hear Rush Limbaugh chastising the pop diva. He even referenced the uplifting, empowering songs that Beyonce sang while performing with Destiny’s Child. I am hardpressed to believe that Limbaugh has actually heard a Destiny’s Child song, but all things are possible even the most improbable. The bigger question is why would he discuss Beyonce at all? Answer the President. She performed at both of the President’s Inaugurations. Mrs. Obama has expressed admiration for Beyonce and that is enough for her to be a topic of discussion on the Limbaugh chatfest. Read the linked story and share your thoughts.

With the truth being an absolute defense to a lie, and regardless whether you are black, white, red, or blue, Beyonce’s song is distasteful, vulgar, and diminishes her as a role model for the millions of little girl across demograpic lines who “worship” her, and I wonder how she would feel about her daughter listening to a song like this one day, and there are many, many public media personalities who have spoken strongly on this topic.

Therefore, it doesn’t seem justifiable that Rush Limbaugh would be singled out and being “blue” doesn’t make it unoffensive. Beyonce just lost credibility, but then again, may be she is targeting those kids who think that these types of lyrics are the norm, and the most disturbing thing is that she is a mother.

You are correct the media is talking about the song everywhere, but the difference is most of the ones talking about the song actually have talked about her music before. Rush does not fit into that group. I believe his fascination with this situation is due to her connection to the WH.

I am going to take the high road on this one and take politics out of the subject because as a person of color I am deeply saddened by Beyonce’s decision to sing such garbage and it doesn’t matter to me about any connection to the White House, and in my opinion I would rather base by comments on Beyonce’s influence on so many young girls. Bow down “B”? It doesn’t matter about the wealth, but rather, the character.
