Connecticut High School football players arrested for having sex with underage girls

Some Connecticut High school football players are charged with having sex with 13 year old girls. Three of them have been arrested and the 13 year olds are being bullied for telling on the boys. The victims should not be victimized, but I do have to ask where are the parents of 13 year old girls having sex with 18 year old boys?

I ask about the parents of the 13 year old girls because they are so young I would think their parents would know their whereabouts. The 18 year olds are being handled by the authorities like they should be.

It’s true that absent parents (literally or spiritually) is a problem, but there are so many reasons why parents might not be there that it’s difficult to name them automatically as responsible. As for the online bullying aimed at the victim, I support a zero tolerance policy: use an account for this kind of nonsense and lose it. The organizations making incredible amounts of money from providing the communications channels need to start taking more responsibility. They can well afford to.
