This contest is open to all high school students (9th-12th grade). Write an essay explaining how the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King are still relevant today. All essays must no more than 200 words. There will be 3 winners who will each receive a copy of Martin Luther King Jr., A King Family Tribute, Edited by, Angela Farris Watkins, PHD. This wonderful book includes exclusive family pictures and moving tributes written by members of Dr. King’s family. The deadline for the essay is midnight Friday February 15th. The winning essays will be posted on the blog. Send your entries to MLK_Essay@aol.com and in the subject line please put “Martin Luther King Writing contest”. Please paste your essay in the email because no attachments will be opened. You should include your full name, your grade and your mailing address because the books will be mailed directly to you from the publisher. Looking forward to reading some great essays.
