Is Morning Joe a Chauvinist?

Things got heated on the set of Morning Joe when Mika, the perennial woman on the set seemingly called her boss, Joe Scarborough a chauvinist. They were discussing the lack of diversity in President Obama’s cabinet, and the conversation took a turn, and Joe got agitated at the thought that his co-host had called him the dreaded c-word. The next segment was devoid of the show’s namesake and when we did see him again Mika was offering an apology for the comments that the show’s host perceived to be insulting. It is truly interesting that Joe can say anything and everything about anybody but, if you say something about him an apology is necessary for the show to go on. Joe might not be a chauvinist, but he is the boss and Mika needs to remember you don’t bite the hand that feeds you.

I love Morning Joe. Even though I am a liberal, I’ve always love watching and listening to Joe’s perspective. I watch the show to listen to Joe specifically. Even though I don’t agree most of the time, I appreciate and respect his views. This morning I was disappointed, horrified and disgusted at Joe’s tone, words and snap-snap treatment of Mika. Do I think Joe’s a chauvinist: ABSOLUTELY NOT! But did he behave in a chauvinistic, disrespectful and hostile manner this morning toward Mika: ABSOLUTELY YES!

He would not have snapped his fingers like that towards a male co-host. I do not believe that one phrase such as “Binders of women” define a person but that doesn’t mean a comment or specific treatment is ok.

    Joe owes Mika an apology!

It was disgusting the way he treated both women on the panel, the way he snapped his fingers at Mika, the manner in which he kept interrupting + smirking + laughing at the guest’s comments and finally literally yelling at Mika !
Who the hell does he thinks he is to act like that towards women on TV ?
Mika had every right to call him a CHAUVINIST; She only should have added the word “douchebag “.
I am sick an tired of seeing this morning buffon extoll his accomplishments while in Congress and how prescient he was, this legend in his own mind self-titled “Oracle of Rockefeller Center”.
I only wish he would quit the show and let Mika + Willie Geist take over hosting duties and i really feel that his irrational ire fits better at FoxNews.

Joe Scarborough is constantly disrespectful towards Mika. She accepts his abuse year in and year out. Joe bullies Mika.Give Mika her own show.

That is really sad, and that’s the reason I don’t watch the show any more. I watched it a couple of times after Obama won the first time. But, when I saw that it looked as if Mika was sitting there and not able to say what was on her mind, I stopped watching it. It is so sad. Why she will not leave really puzzles me. Joe doesn’t apologize for his crazy actions and words.
