Mitt Romney plays the blame game, and says the President bought his base

Mitt Romney gave a gracious concession speech last week if only that had been his last word on the election, but it was not. Yesterday a tape was released to the media. Romney is heard telling his donor base why the president won. It’s simple he bought his base. He offered them gifts and free stuff and they came running to the polls to re-elect him. I guess everyone who loses something has to find a way to rationalize their defeat and it looks like this is the route Romney has chosen. His 47% comment could not have been a factor in his loss, nor could his famous suggestion of “self-deportation” to Hispanics, and who can forget his NAACP visist in which he told the crowd if you want free stuff vote for the president. No none of that mattered. He is as faultless in defeat as he was as a candidate. He is an angry disappointed man who is having difficulty coming to terms with defeat. He has opted for the blame game and if that is what helps him sleep at night we can look forward to more mudslinging out of the mouth of Mitt.

Do you REALLY think Obama had any intention of actually meeting with Romney? That was just victory speech rhetoric. Now the man has an excuse to put off that invitation. Too bad, he might actually have learned something from a person who has more executive experience than him.

EM, I do not think Romney contends that he ran a flawless campaign. Other than the 47 percent comment that the democrats and the media kept alive, the rest of what you mentioned were probably forgotten memories by the time people voted. Obama did indeed buy off groups. Don’t be surprised, that’s the way it always happens. He needed the support of the gay community, so he “evolved” to support gay marriage in an election year. He needed Latino support so he instituted a DREAM ACT by executive order and STRONGLY INTIMATED he’d really, truly get around to fulfilling that comprehensive immigration reform promise that he made in 2008. The only group he didn’t buy off was the black vote. He didn’t have to. Remember his speech telling blacks to “Quit complaining! Put on your marching boots”? No, most blacks don’t. Once again, Obama proved that the Democratic Party is Ike, and the black vote is Tina. Democrats can abuse them all they want, and they’ll still be fronting the band and singing it’s tune.
