What is the point of this John McCain commercial?

This commercial is supposed to be humorous, but it really shows the maverick has died. John McCain used to bill himself as the maverick but recently he has started running away from his personal history. When he was running for president in 2008 he took pride in the fact that he could reach across the aisle and work out compromise with the Democrats, but that McCain is now gone forever. Now we have the McCain that is running so far to the right that he might fall off the edge. He wants to win and he will say and do anything to make it happen and that is what this commercial proves.  We miss the maverick.

The “maverick” died long ago…when John McCain could have chosen a long-respected Republican like Olympia Snow as a running mate, he went for the cute charmer with no substance that he referred to on national TV as his “soul-mate”. He’s an old man hoping he still has “it” with the ladies, AND, can hold onto his power seat in the good-old-boys country club of DC.

John McCain is one more example of how badly we need term limits.

It’s time for John to retire graciously – maybe he’ll regain his maverick moniker and turn down the golden parachute that he and his fellow club members provided for themselves?

Lighten up EM! This video is HILARIOUS! Hayworth is a fringe nutbagger, and McCain isn’t worried about him. He’s having some fun at this challenger’s expense. The message is clear: “I don’t have anything to worry about as far as my primary race goes”.

The point is, JD Hayworth is the same corrupt, immoral, unethical, unintelligent man as he always has been…However, this ad just adds a bit of humor to this race. JD has been attacking McCain for months and most of it is extremely off base. This ad is right on the mark and super funny! I was pretty proud of McCain for fighting fire with fire! McCain is the best candidate by far

I think this all done in good humor, and it still makes a very clear point. JD HAYWORTH’s campaign and political career are a JOKE, and his record proves such. The irony of it all is there isn’t anything in the ad that isn’t true, joke or not. So who should be upset, maybe JD should have thought some things through before he did/said them.
