Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. is missing. He has not been in his office since June. His staff has issued a cryptic message stating that he is suffering from some kind of ailment. Members of his own party are asking for clarity regarding the missing Congressman, but his family is asking that his privacy be respected. Let’s look at this situation. Jackson is supposedly representing a chicago district, and he is handsomely compensated for this job. So he owes his constituients some answers. He does not need to tell them everything, but telling them nothing is simply not an option. Imagine if you stopped going to your job and simply sent an email stating you were ill but no other details and no return date. You would be let go if you did not come forth with more details. Jackson or his representatives need to release some more information. It is duty.
