Tales from the 1992 Dream Team reveal why Isiah Thomas was excluded

It is interesting to hear 20 years later why Isiah Thomas was left off the Dream Team. Thomas was part of the Bad Boy Detroit Pistons and in 1991 when the Chicago Bulls finally beat them for a chance to go to the finals Thomas lead his troops off the court before the final buzzer. It was a classless act that caused Thomas to miss the chance to be in the Olympics. Michael Jordan joined the team, but only if Thomas was not part of the team. So what’s the moral of the story? think befor you act. Don’t allow your emotions to control you. Because Thomas did not heed this advise and now he can only say I wish I had stuck around for the final buzzer 20 years ago, but hindsight is 20/20 and you can’t change the past.

Scottie Pippen needs to spit out the sour grapes…MJ was the best basketball player ever

I will start this post by saying I loved Michael Jordan during his playing days. He had a passion for the game that you rarely see. When he retired he had 6 championship rings, and he brought teammate Scottie Pippen along on the journey. So it was disheartening to hear his former teammate trash him this morning. On ESPN this morning Pippen said the following “Michael Jordan’s probably the greatest scorer to ever play in the game, but I may go as far as to say that LeBron James may be the greatest player to ever play the game because he’s so potent offensively,” Pippen said. “Not only can he score at will but he keeps everybody involved and you have to be on your Ps and Qs on defense because no guy on the court isn’t a threat to score when (he’s) is out there. But not only that but LeBron James will dominate the game offensively, but he’s also doing it on the defensive end and that makes him the complete package.” You have to wonder did he actually hear himself. He is saying that James who is currently ringless is better than MJ who has 6 rings. Really Scottie, you should know better.
