Abercrombie and Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries says no fatties allowed

Did not know until yesterday that Abercrombie and Fitch carry dress sizes up to 10 and the average woman is a 14. They do not carry XL for women because they do not want plus size, over size, pleasingly plump or fat people shopping in their stores. They want that elusive All American cool, slim person with a pocket full of cash. So what’s the big deal? Lane Bryant is a store designed for plus size women. There are many stores designed for Big and Tall men. We call them speciality stores, but we call what want to label the Abercrombie model discrimination? What do you think? If you saw Charles Ramsey would you run toward him or away from Him?

Charles Ramsey showed he has the ability to tell a story. His account of the rescue of Amanda Berry has garnered him instant fame, but why? Why do people find his account fascinating? Is it the way he told the story? Is the the way he looks? Is it the fact that normally he would dwell among the invisible? Who are the invisible? They are people who live in a neighborhood often urban and they rarely venture out of it. I am not pretending to know Ramsey or his schedule, but I do know people like him. Their world is small and they are rarely called upon to talk to anyone that does not look like or talk like them. When he said it was odd for a little white girl to run into a black man’s arms he was not lying. Cleveland ranks in the 10 of segregated cities. I lived in Cleveland years ago and I chose to live on the west side because it was close to where I worked and once I started working there I was told I should have chosen the east side because more people of color lived on the east side. It is just interesting to see the reaction to Ramsey. He is seen as oh so different, but on his block he is the norm. TANTAROS: I mean look, if the president is going to talk about his daughters, typically I would not talk about the daughters, unless, of course, they go to the Bahamas on spring break and we have to pay for it and I think it’s wrong, which I do. But they’re not grown women. So I’m just wondering, at 15 years old, is the Obama daughter, Malia, going to go on birth control? Are they gonna put her on birth control? Because he’s very concerned with the contraceptives and pharmaceuticals that are going in the mouths of everybody else’s 15-year old daughter.
But it’s definitely collectivism, right? “It takes a village.” Do you hear it, everybody? “It takes a village to raise your kids.” President Obama is now the parent-in-chief. Kathleen Sebelius is raising your kids. Joe Biden is raising your kids. Oh not even, it doesn’t stop there. It’s not kids. They consider 15-year olds to be women. They want to tell grown women what to do. They know how grown women feel. They have no idea how women feel. They should stop talking about it, because they have no clue.

Why was track team member, Derrick Hayes disqualified for gesturing toward heaven?

Please explain to me why a track team member would be disqualified for gesturing toward heaven? Aren’t we still a Christian nation? This is a rhetorical question. We used to wear that title proudly, but we have put it in the closet. Maybe one day it will come out of the closet and then we will celebrate.

Kiera Wilmot is not a criminal, she simply made a bad choice

I read this story this morning and it made me mad and sad. Kiera Wilmot was an excellent student with exemplary behavior. She decided to try a an authorized science experiment on the school grounds. last Moday the 16 year old mixed some common household chemicals in a small 8 oz water bottle on the grounds of Bartow High School in bartow, Florida. The reaction caused a small explosion that caused the top to pop off and produced smoke. No one was hurt and it caused no damage. Her principal has admitted that she meant no harm, but she was taken into custody by the school resource officer and charged with possession/discharge of a weapon on school grounds and discharging a destructive device. She will be tried as an adult. She has been expelled from school and forced to complete high school in an expulsion program. She is 16 and what she did was stupid but to criminalize this bright girl is more criminal than the act she committed. Read the linked story and share the link. This is simply not right.

Jason Collins is no Jackie Robinson

Like Charles Barkley said later we must get to the point where we can talk freely about this. To call homosexuality a sin is the belief of many Christians. It does not mean that we hate the people. But you can not tell coming from the other side. It appears that if you voice your opinion the other side says you hate them or are afraid of them(homophobic.) Most Christians do not hate or fear homosexuals and have no problem living among them. We are just compelled by the word to speak the truth. If a person chooses to not listen that’s on them. I have come to this realization that the homosexual lobby will not stop until everyone says that there lifestyle is not a sin or wrong. This will not happen and it doesn’t mean that we hate them. To compare Jason Collins to Jackie Robinson is an insult. This man has played 12 yrs in the league and has suffered no abuse. The outpouring of love has been straight ridiculous. Jackie suffered abuse from the minor leagues and had to live with a 3 yr non retaliatory clause. This kid has had to deal with nothing. Has he gotten bags of hate mail? Has he been abused on the court because of his sexual choice. (yes choice). The world has decided that homosexuality is the way to go so much that parents are encouraged to not teach their kids that it’s wrong but a viable lifestyle if they so choose to live that way or feel that way. I don’t care who you love or who you sleep with it ain’t my business so please please please quit boring me with it. And stop acting like it’s a big deal to tell the world Its not. If you don’t want the criticism don’t tell people who may not like that lifestyle. You are not changing those minds and you lose the respect of those individuals by trying to do so. LET US RESPECT EACH OTHER AS PEOPLE IRRESPECTIVE OF WHO YOU LOVE/SLEEP WITH.
