Laura Ingraham’s Flawed Logic: Only conservative blacks think for themselves

They hate African-Americans and actors who think 4themselves. So if we follow her line of logic what does this say about liberal African Americans? Why do we continue to villify those that don’t agree with our political point of view? The Clint Eastwood performance has been criticized by both the left and the right. Yes, he is Hollywood elite, but last night was not his finest hour and after that performance no one is clamoring to have Eastwood on their team. That’s a part of Hollywood that the right can keep.

Why is Fox News Laura Ingraham bashing Chris Brown?

A friend of mine sent me this clip this morning. Fox News Laura Ingraham discusses Chris Brown. She criticized the decision by NBC to showcase him on their Summer Concert Series. Chris Brown brutally beat his former girlfriend Rihanna and he was punished for that act, but at what point is he allowed to move on with his life and career?  Fox News made the decision to send a rep to the concert site armed with a picture of Rihanna after the beating. What I  found disturbing about this exercise was how the young black women since for some reason they did not interview the white fans who were numerous did minimize the beating and in some cases blamed the victim. Now for me that’s a problem. I do feel Brown should be allowed to perform, but he did abuse Rihanna and there is no excuse for that act and it is indeed sad to see young women shrug when they look at the damage the talent performer inflicted on his former girlfriend, but that being said let the young man work. Ingraham is not and never was a part of the Brown fan base. So he can’t win her back because he never had her. Tell me what you think. Is the critisim justified? Should NBC have had Brown as a part of the concert series?

Mitch McConnell says he refuses to help President Obama get reelected

Mitch McConnell(R-Kentucky)  is the minority leader in the US Senate so it is not surprising that he does not want the president to win another term, but the question is at what cost? Will the country go into default if this issue is not settled by August 2nd, and if so who does it benefit? When the president said there might not be money to cover social security and veteran’s checks was that just scare tactics or are we really that close to the brink? At what point do we actually start governing and stop playing politics? Is the sky actually falling, and if so do we just do nothing and simply get hit by the debris?

Why did the ladies of The View choose not to chastise Ed Schultz?

Today, the women of  The View attempted to discuss Ed Schultz’ punishment for calling radio talk show host and Fox News contributor, Laura Ingraham a “slut”  They seemingly got sidetracked, and Whoopi Goldberg said Joy Behar has called the co-hosts sluts, and there has been no punishment or repercussions.  Behar said when she calls them the word it is a joke. The thing I found interesting is they never really took Schultz to task for his use of the word. He was angry and he used a vile word in a vile way. I have been writing this blog for over 3 years now, and I can not tell you how many times some of the conservative readers have said that liberals refuse to call out liberals when they are wrong. This is one of the times I have to say there may be something to this argument. If Fox News Bill O’Reilly had called Rachel Maddow a slut, the ladies of The View would have been calling for his head, but in this case they took the opportunity to discuss some aspect of the subject without addressing the liberal donkey in the room.

MSNBC Host Ed Schultz calls Laura Ingraham a “right wing slut”

Ed Schultz called conservative talk show host Laura Ingraham a “right wing slut” on his radio show today. He has been suspended without pay for a week from  his MSNBC television show, but is this really enough of a punishment?  Calling someone a slut is a low brow statement. It is not only nasty, but it is sexist. This kind of language has no place in a political debate. The suspension just makes you wonder what would you have to say to be fired?

Why Was Fox News Contributor Laura Ingraham on the NBC Today Show?

This morning to my dismay Laura Ingraham was a guest on the Today Show. Apparently she does not get enough Obama bashing time on Fox News so she is taking to her hate-filled drivel on the road, and the Today Show was one of her first stops. She has written a book entitled the Obama Diaries. This is her malicious fictional account of what goes on in the White House. I avoid Fox News because I don’t want to hear her venom-filled tirades so you can imagine my dismay as I watched Matt Lauer nod like a bobble head as she lit into the president. I started to post about this earlier, but a frequent reader (ediva75) brought a Huffington Post piece written by Ingraham to my attention. Here is a portion of her fictional account of Mrs. Obama’s day: “Gulf Coast!?! To think I had to waste an afternoon (cut my workout short and everything) to make those Tea Baggers along the Gulf Coast think we give a damn. It’s one thing to go down to Diddy’s or Kanye’s house on Star Island in Miami, but Panama City is a disaster. This place is known for one thing: endless strip malls. Do I look like I shop at Payless Shoes? This is supposed to be our vacation time and I’m blowing half my day in a hell hole like Panama City!!” * This is not funny. It is bitterly sarcastic and it is not based on fact. Some will say oh that’s satire. No it is not. It is part of an agenda that seeks to define the Obama’s as elite and out of touch. They want the American people to believe that they despise the poor and swoon in the presence of celebrity. The President and the First lady come from humble roots and their ascent should be celebrated not deingrated by the likes of Fox News contributor Laura Ingraham.

Conservative Radio Host Tammy Bruce “Trashes” the Obamas

Tammy Bruce is sitting in for the equally “charming” radio host Laura Ingraham today she called the Obamas “trash”. She said we now have trash in the White House.  She went on to say this statement has nothing to do with their race.  Sure. It is so interesting to hear these pundits sink lower and lower in their attacks on the president and especially on the new first lady. Mrs. Obama has made an effort to reach out to the community. When was the last time you saw a first lady feed the homeless and it was not Thanksgiving? When have you seen a first lady visit DC schools on more than one occasion? When have you seen a first lady bring students to the White House kitchen or students to help plant a vegetable garden? You have not seen it because this is the first time it has happened. It  is acceptable to criticize Obama’s policy decisions, but to call he and his family trash crosses a line that should not be crossed.
