Dallas Cowboy Dez Bryant arrested for assaulting his mother…what kind of son roughs up his mother?

What happens to a boy who is called the man of the house when he is only a little boy? He starts to think he is a man. I have heard so many women describe their sons as the man of the house, but that is an awesome burden for a child to carry. What happens when that little man is full of athletic prowess? We have seen LeBron James tell his mom during a game to “sit your ass down”. Now we are reading that Dez Bryant roughed up his mother when she asked him to leave her home. We don’t know all the details, but I wonder did she ever call him the man of the house?

Dez Bryant and Company Cited for “Pants on the Ground”

A friend of mine sent me this link to a story about Dallas Cowboy Dez Bryant. Apparently he and some of his friends were in a Dallas mall and the police were instructing them to pull up their pants. Now, I don’t want to see anyone’s underwear, but unless there is a law on the books stating that pants must be worn a certain way one has to wonder why this matter warranted police intervention. The mall contends it violated their mall pants policy. Bryant was upset and the police said he unleashed a barrage of obsenities. Bryant and his party were asked to leave the mall. Did this matter warrant police intervention? Tell me what you think.

Dallas Cowboy Dez Bryant spends $54K on Dinner for teammates, sadly that’s what some Americans make for working an entire year

Dallas Cowboy Dez Bryant took his teammates out to dinner and spent over $54,000. How is this actually possible? Some will say what’s the problem it’s his money, and that is true, but somethings need to stay private. We should not have heard about this because it just smacks of Marie Antoinette. Americans are barely making ends meet and the last thing they want to hear about is a 54K resteraunt bill. These same NFL players are facing a lockout next year and they will be trying to illicit sympathy from us and it simply will not be there. We have a Washington Redskin player Allen Haynesworth who has $110 million dollar contract bemoaning the fact that he feels like a “slave.” The last time I read a history book slaves worked for free from birth until death.  I know the working span of an athlete is short in duration, but think what you could do with a few million dollars earned over a 3-5 year span. Most of us with a little business savvy would be set for life. So they can spend there money however they like but next year if there is a lockout they will get no sympathy from me I  will just find something else to do on a Sunday afternoon and maybe Dez can take his teammates out to a local Wendy’s because the money just might not be flowing like it is this year.

Why does Dallas Cowboy Dez Bryant Refuse to Honor Tradition?

NFL rookies carry water, pads, buy dinner they pretty much do whatever the veterans tell them, but not Dez Bryant. He has refused to carry the pads for veteran Roy Williams. This kind of hazing is the norm within the league. So why is the rookie brizzling at doing it? Bryant who has not played one down of NFL ball has already had his share of problems. ”First came the suspension from Oklahoma State followed by his slide in the draft. Then came the stories of his revealing his father to be a pimp in pre-draft talks which led to comments about his mother followed by stories of her arrest charges. Now it has come out that Bryant already lost an endorsement deal with Under Armour.”* So one might think he would not want to bring any more negative attention to himself. My question is what do you think. Should this practice be outlawed by league or is this just playing your dues? Is he simply being another spoiled athlete who has no real respect for the game and its traditions?
