Does this Budweiser “Coming Home” commercial have a gay theme?

Some are speculating that this Budweiser commercial has a gay theme.  “The ad, which is viewer-restricted on YouTube, shows a soldier calling a man and saying, “it’s me. I’m coming home.” It then shows a split screen, with the soldier getting ready to go home and the man preparing a party for him. At the end of the ad, the man is at the front of a group of people welcoming the soldier home, and the two hug. All of this got the site After Elton wondering if Budweiser had essentially crafted the first-ever post-Don’t Ask Don’t Tell gay military ad. “Is the commercially (sic) intentionally gay or not?” the site mused. “Well, only Budweiser knows for sure, but if you substituted a woman for PB, it would read pretty much exactly like a heterosexual relationship.”* Watch the commercial and tell me what you think.

This has to be One of the Worst Commercials Ever

I saw this commercial the other day and said this is horrible. These have to be come of the ugliest characters ever created. Who would want to buy this product after seeing these characters? Obviously somebody liked them it makes one wonder if this was the best the agency had I truly would hate to see the worst.

Athenos Hummus Grandmother…funny or offensive?

This commercial for Kraft Athenos Hummus features a traditional Greek grandmother. It is supposed to be humorous, but tell me what you think. Some in the Greek community have taken offense. If grandmother was black would it be funny? Tell me what you think.

President Obama selling Chicken in Hong Kong?

This KFC commercial currently running in China has an Obama lookalike selling chicken? Really. The first black president depicted selling chicken. Is this funny or racist. Tell me what you think.

Why Can’t Dead Celebrities Rest in Peace?

I recently saw David Spade and the late Chris Farley in a commercial for Direct TV. It just seemed in bad taste to mock Farley to sell Direct TV, but Spade is not the only one doing it. We continue to see the Billy Mays commercials everywhere. It’s as if he had never died, but he did.  It is one thing to watch a movie and recognize the talent the individual had, but it is another thing to see them shilling product. Why can’t we just let them rest in peace? Answer: there is no profit in peace.
