How many of you have heard the name Chavis Carter? Some of you probably have, but many of you need to know the facts of this very interesting case. Carter was arrested and searched twice by the Jonesboro, Arkansas police. He was then placed into a police car and the police claim he somehow retrieved a hidden gun and shot himself in the head. He used his right hand to do this deadly deed, and his mother said that he was actually left-handed. This case is flying under the radar and the Rev. Jesse Jackson has recently become actively involved in showcasing this curious case. Jackson is a two-edged sword. His presence can bring media attention to an issue. Not as much as back in the day, but he does know how to garner attention, but his motives are often questioned.
