Giorgos Katidis Nazi Salute earns him a Litetime Ban

During his celebration Giorgo Katidis flashed a Nazi salute and he has now been banned for a lifetime from the sport. The Today Show Professionals discussed this case and Star Jones contended that his age (20) might be a mitigating factor. She said maybe he did not know what the symbol meant, but is ignorance a valid defense? The other question is if he did not know the impact of the symbol who’s fault is it? Are we teaching young people history. In this Information Age is it really possible to be ignorant of history or is this willful ignorance? Share your thoughts.
