Tea party favorite Sen. Ted Cruz came to Washington with an agenda, but what was it? He has infuriated Seantors on both sides of the aisle. Is he there to govern or to iritate? Share your thoughts.

Our legislators are reflections of the people who elect them. We are are electing idiots. What does that make us?
He is there for his own personal gain. He wants attention.
Senator Cruz raised some serious constitutional questions. Her citing her length and breadth of experience in the congress fails to speak to the questions that he raised. If her arrogance causes her to be irritated because a junior senator would have the temerity to challenge her, so be it.
As long as you raise the issue of who is in the congress for personal gain, I would suggest you do a bit of research on Senator Feinstein’s husband’s company and how he has been feeding at the public trough for decades.
…speaking of failing to speak to the questions he raised.
Si, if your reply to me is to point out that I failed to speak to the question that you raised, perhaps you didn’t notice that my comments were direct replies to willholan’s comments, not yours. I ignored your question because I perceived it as rhetorical being that we routinely see evidence of the answer to that question in comments here.
I did notice your prior comment. I’m not a sixth grader.
Actually, the clip doesn’t show it, but she did address the constitutional issue he raised, by pointing out that even the first amendment has restrictions, like yelling fire in a crowded theater, or child pornography. Cruz is one of thse right wing reactionary idiots that thinks people unlike him are stupid. His questions to Sen. Feinstein were condescending and supercilious, not to mention easily refutable.
My short pithy comment to you was simply to point out that you were doing the same thing you complained about, without noting that she, in fact, DID respond to the substance of Cruz’s comments. But hypocrisy is one of the hallmarks of conservative thinking.
