President Obama came ready to play last night. He was energized and ready to not only answer questions, but he was also ready to defend his record. He came across last night as a man who was ready to fight for his job. Last night he did just that. Gov. Romney was on fire a couple of weeks ago at the first debate and he seemed to think that he would have a second round against a figuratively comatose president, but from the very beginning the President let him know this was in fact a new day. One can question the validity of debates. Are they designed for the voters or are they simply media events? Last night I would say we witnessed a little of both. It was good television and there were also substanative points made by both men, but in the end the President brought up Gov. Romney’s 47% comment and that truly reflected the real difference between these two men.
