I salute Nas for making this message, and keeping it non-partisan. What is frustrating is that this message applies across party lines. Even my youngest, who will be 21 in March, is apathetic about voting. He uses the same tired excuses of “It won’t make any difference”, “They’re all crooked so it doesn’t matter”, “California is all Democratic so why bother?” I tell him if he doesn’t vote he loses the right to complain. I guess since he lives in my house and gets three squares a day he doesn’t really feel the effects of a large, oppressive government. But one day he will.
