we have survived 236 of darkness…what’s four more…peace
236 years of darkness? How do you figure? I think this country is the greatest force for good on this planet. It’s not perfect, but I believe it’s the shining city on a hill described by Ronald Reagan, What’s at stake here is whether this country remains a constitutional republic, where we have maximum freedom with maximum opportunity to achieve our dreams, or becomes a western European style democracy where all our “needs” are provided by an all-encompassing, all knowing omnipotent massive central government that controls everything through force of legislation. The bennies look great, but at what cost to innovation and ingenuity? I’d rather work hard to achieve my dreams, without the massive social safety net that too often turns into a hammock.
