TLC Honey Boo Boo is one of the most popular television shows. I must admit that I watched it once, and once was truly enough. The show centers around former Toddlers and Tiara star Honey Boo Boo and the antics of her colorful family. It is America’s latest obsession. So if this is what America is watching the question becomes are we really ready for adult conversation? America has real serious problems, but are we ready to be serious? I think these need to be harder.
A couple of interesting statistics: 40% of Democrats don’t know that Republicans are the conservative party. 15% of Republicans from North Carolina say that Gov. Romney deserves the credit for getting bin Laden. After hearing these sorry stats I don’t hold out much faith in the American people; it’s no wonder this country is 25th in education.
