Why can’t Mitt Romney connect to the “common folks” has been an ongoing question? Perhaps its because he sees things differently. In his world middle income earners make $250K. Is this kind of thinking a problem? Read the linked story and share your thoughts.

Obviously, the definition of what middle income is must not really be the cause of the problem that Romney is experiencing in connecting with the “common folk”.
The article also states that Obama uses the same income guidelines. Let me insert the actual quote to assure accuracy; “Obama also has set his definition for “middle class” as families with income of up to $250,000 a year”. Now I would ask you is this kind of thinking by Obama a problem?
I’m not a big Romney fan, but the article also states that: “Obama also has set his definition for ‘middle class’ as families with income of up to $250,000 a year.” Although Romney did not specify whether he was talking about “family” or “individual” income, it is usually implied that these discussions reference household income. Again, not a Romney fan, but in terms of what is referenced here, I don’t see how Romney’s definition differs from that of President Obama.
LPM you make a legitimate point.
Why is it necessary to issue a disclaimer in reference to supporting Romney? Why can’t the truth just speak for itself?
That $250,000 number has been thrown around for a long time as the “cutoff” for middle class by both parties. I always got the idea, especially lately, that if you make below that, you’re considered poor. Which must mean that I’m considered “poor”. Even though I make close to six figures. Go figure. Who would’ve thought it?
I don’t even know anyone who makes $250,000 annually. Sigh.
