Some conservatives believe the media made Mitt Romney the story yesterday…what do you think?

Yesterday Mitt Romney came out loud, strong and many say wrong when he attacked the president without all the facts concerning the attack on a US embassy. Some conservatives are saying that the media made Mitt Romney the story. Read the linked story and share your thoughts.

Yes, no question about it. Romney is a leader. President Obama is not. Which is why the White House sent out a statement apologizing for American Free Speech and then attempted to retract it that it was not authorized.

Huh? How can a statement go out to the whole world without the approval of a high ranking official?

I feel Democrats feel Americans should be more upset about Romney’s statement then our murdered citizens.

RS.. what are you talking about??? There was no statement released by Obama. The release was not authorized by the administration, and they said so. However, the said statement from the U.S. embassy in Libya, was customary and normal in an effort to quell passions.

The Republican effort for years to cast Democrats as always apologizing is not effective any longer. Bush apologized so much that even though I believe that America is not above apologizing, I was a little tired of it.

No one knows who will win this election but Romney who wrecked our State of MA, economically, should not be allowed create national economic bedlam. Neither should he be allowed to launch us into another wild war led by his advisors–the gang of “never having fought in a war-I was a missionary and missed 5 drafts for Vietnam” war mongers.

    What a pile of bunk.

    1. First, Romney has never categorically stated what he would do differently from Obama, in the situations that he has criticized Obama for. For example, he had no response for the question on Mubarak. What would he have done? Yet Obama was wrong? He had no clear answer.

    2. The apology tour Romney keeps alluding to, is a farce. G.W. Bush was the “apologizer” in chief. For example the Washington Post Article states in

    http://voices.washingtonpost.com/fact-checker/2011/02/obamas_apology_tour.html:

Below is an excerpt from that piece:
##”Similarly, Bush’s secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice suggested in Cairo in 2005 that U.S. policies were directly responsible for the terrorism that had struck the United States: “Our policies to try and promote what we thought was stability in the Middle East had actually allowed, underneath, a very malignant, meaning cancerous, form of extremism to grow up underneath because people didn’t have outlets for their political views.”

Obama, meanwhile, has refused to apologize for past CIA meddling in Latin America. “I’m interested in going forward, not looking backward,” Obama said after talks with Chilean leader Michelle Bachelet. “I think that the United States has been an enormous force for good in the world. I think there have been times where we’ve made mistakes. But I think that what is important is looking at what our policies are today, and what my administration intends to do in cooperating with the region.”

But Bush on several occasions apologized to foreign governments for actions taken by U.S. soldiers, such as for the shooting of a Koran or prisoner abuse in Iraq. “I told him I was sorry for the humiliation suffered by the Iraqi prisoners and the humiliation suffered by their families,” Bush said at a news conference with Jordan’s King Abdullah.” ##

    3. And LASTLY and worst of all, Romney is acting scared and silly. He could have waited, as is customary in the event of American deaths, before launching his ill timed and factually porous allegations. Things are not looking good for Romney, and he is gradually beginning to look increasingly rudderless and inept.

Mum, oh yes, please bring up President Bush. I do believe that will be the lefts rallying cry for the next 25 years.

Who released the statement then? I find it very hard to believe that a statement can go out to the ENTIRE WORLD and no one knows about it. So if the White House did not authorize it, who did? Someone saw that statement and someone approved it to go out.

Fact is, Mitt Romney has more experience and more honor then President Obama can ever hope to have. Is there something wrong with being a missionary?

But, thanks for attacking my opinion. Appreciate it.

Did you see the release?? It was originated locally. I hate to break to you, but Obama does not read every release from a Consulate or Embassy. Also, there was nothing wrong with the release. And even if it was an apology, so what? American CAN apologize.

When I read your remark about Romney, I almost deleted my response. Romney has more experience and honor than Obama???? How??? I supported him when he ran for governor in our state, and he did not deliver on ANYTHING he promised. His so called venture capitalist experienced never resulted in jobs for us. Worse still, for the last two years in office, he mocked our suffering in MA, and was out of state for about 200 days, chilling out in Utah and preparing his run for the Republican primaries. He was heartless, disconnected, entitled and DISHONORABLE.

Romney lied to us about his residence filings in his tax returns, yet when he admitted to the lie, we still gave him a chance. He is not intelligent either. I am amazed when people say that he is bright. How so??? He had capital and participated in successful venture capitalism, so what? In MA, during interviews, if the question did not have a canned response he had committed to memory, he appeared like a doofus. Romney is Sarah Palin in drag.

Honorable?? He is a LIAR. It was so bad that his 2-predecessors, both Republican governors called him a failure. After him, for the first time, I can remember in recent memory, MA elected a DEMOCRAT. Yes, that is what Romney did in our State. Not that there is anything wrong with Democrats– but we just did not have a tradition of electing them into that office.

Romney should not be allowed to be elected into national office. If Obama is not doing a good job in your estimation, should you vote for a challenger who is an inept and incompetent sleazebag business man??? You should not vote if you are voting an anything but Obama ballot. The option is Romney, and his record STINKS.

The Cato Institute is a Conservative Think tank of sorts. I encourage you to read their assessment of Romney who almost choked us to death with taxes, and scared away businesses with his heavy tax burdens.

Electing Romney would be horrible for America. I hope he loses in a landslide.

Mum…we can agree to disagree about Mitt Romney.

However, I cant back down regarding the release. Someone knew about it and allowed it to go out. It makes us look weak. Yes, America can apologize.

We are so sorry terrorists that we upset you. We are so sorry that our trangressions of free speech forced you to attack our embassy. We are sorry we made you kill 4 of our citizens in cold blood. We are so sorry we caused you to kill our ambassador and drag his body through the streets. I mean, we had it coming…right?
