It’s an election year and that makes all things political fodder. Even the death of a diplomat. The Romney campaign slammed the president last night before all the facts were in and before the 9/11 campaign truce was over. They were so anxious to attack that they sent their press release out at 10PM with instructions not to open it until after midnight. What happened to we are all Americans in a crisis? It’s election year and while Romeny might wax poetic reciting the pledge of the allegiance or singing Oh Beautiful when there’s a chance to make political hay out of an international crisis patriotism simply has to be shelved.
