Mitt Romney Gets 0% of the Black vote in New Poll and why it matters?

President Obama has the black vote on lock. A new poll shows that Mitt Romney is currently polling 0% among blacks. Why does this matter? It matters because the Democrats take the black vote for granted and when you take something for granted you rarely respect it. The only time Mitt Romney spoke specifically to the black community was in July at the NAACP convention and he used that occasion to tell the crowd if you want free stuff I am not your guy. He seemingly used the opportunity to show his base that he was tough on social issues. So the black vote is caught in the valley of disrespect. Who is going to get the black vote? It’s safe to say the man polling 0% will not be getting it, but what will we get for supporting the president?

My thoughts completely. The blind support of the Democratic party by African Americans and Blacks is galling. The Democrats have not earned any blind support from any group. (However, in my view, it is not as vocal and virulent as the aggressive anger fueled support of the Republican party by the least educated and anti-intellectual white base) .

I am a former Republican now turned Independent Right leaning totally Anti-Romney. I rejected him in the Republican primaries, and I do so now. I support the candidacy of Obama because I was governed by Romney, and he was a hellish governor who ran our State into the ground.

The feverish following of the Democratic party has yielded no dividend for Black folk. Instead, we get insulted by Romney and his race baiting “free stuff” remarks. The Democrats, they are like a husband who has been married for a long time to an attractive woman. Sometimes, he needs a jolt. Haha.. maybe that was not a great example, but I reckon you know what I mean.

I think both parties are not great, and so it is better to vote for the candidates and their platforms. After supporting G.W. for 2 terms, I will not be supporting another rudderless ambitious man who just wants to be President.

In MA, all that Romney did was use us as a stepping stone towards his ambition to be president. “I am rich, I am entitled and I should be president”-that is what we thought of him in MA, an entitled, self centered incompetent governor. During Romney’s last 2 years as governor, he was out of State for over 200 days, and we never saw any indication of his claims of financial dexterity.

Our economy was bad. Many of us had to leave the State and go elsewhere to look for work. Now, he is again trying the same line in order to cash in on a fragile economy. Well, Romney was incompetent in MA, and there is no indication that he will be better on the National stage.

There is a choice here and it is between two men. I have been governed by both. Romney is by far the worse of the two. He did not care. He was detached, and at the end of the day, the raging liberal Kennedy did more good for the State. I do not want a repeat of MA, or a return to a rule by a suit controlled by the Republican establishment as happened under G.W.. At least Bush appeared to care even though he was weak. Romney does not care!
