Love is great but it’s difficult to preach love without holding Russel Simmons and Al Sharpton, others accountable. These guys have access to trmendous wealth and people with influence but I haven’t seen (I’ve been busy saving my own home and business) either establish one sustained program, business or housing initiative that employees any of the very youth and adults that have guns and other who simply want sense of dignity to provide for their families. Enough of these love marches, where are the jobs, where are the entrepreneurial programs, where us the support for local businesses. We can’t keep being consumers and reacting we must have an economic and educational initiative funded by the Sharpton and Simmons who get wealthier leverage the PR from thee marches. Wake up people hold them accountable.
or all the criticism of Beyonce, she did build a housing program in her hometown neighborhood, she has help create sustained jobs — can more be done? sure but she is doing something tangible–what has Simmons done lately. Don’t you think its a contradiction to have these marches without solutions, people must eat!!!!!!!! You can pay Con Edison with love, mortgage companies don’t stop adding interest when you defaut, even water companies will shut off your water—-it takes financial resources to survive, write a check already…
