Cher offends Mormons with offensive tweet

“Cher wrote, “I Feel if he (Obama) doesn’t get all his DUCKS IN A ROW we’ll b forced 2 listen 2Uncaring Richy Rich! The whitest man in MAGIC UNDERWEAR in the WH (White House).” Is this really what we need to be discussing? Do we want to have a campaign based on issues which are numerous or do we really want to make fun of someone’s religious beliefs. Last year when Cher’s son Chaz appeared on Dancing with the Stars she had a fit when he was criticized. he was criticized because he was different, but she wanted his differences celebrated, but he seems like her tolerance only bends one way, and that is sad.

    Oh, please.

It’s a private person. On top of that, it’s from an entertainer. On top of that, it’s Cher.

Can she not say whatever she wants? I think so.

The “criticism” against Chaz Bono for going on DWTS was groundless and based only on Chaz’ sexual orientation. Religion and sexual orientation (or race for that matter) are hardly comparable, and there’s a difference between criticizing a religious belief vs. hating someone for being who they are (or for following a religion).

It seems most liberals are only tolerant one way. BTW Is that all she’s got against Mitt? He’s white and wears underwear? Also, didn’t she previously support John Kerry who is about 10 times richer than Mitt? Hollywood has its own rules.

Unfortunately, as I have repeatedly stated in nearly all of my Posts, I am really tired of the “Race Card” being injected into every conversation when the Administration’s Poll ratings drop, and yes, I am a Black person. Why on Black Vocies would you say that Mitt Romney is “white”? We all know that he is white, just like we all know that President Obama is biracial, and regardless of the ongoing “race card” rhetoric, this Presidential Election will be decided on the issues. In addition, I’m glad to know that Gov. Romney wears underwear because this fact issue just might inspire those who don’t wear undergarments to do so,as I now assume fromCher’s statement, that Cher doesn’t. Reasonable minded American People are tired of this method of campaigning.

While Cher’s entitled to her opinion, and can surely share that opinion on Twitter, she’s still Cher, and nobody ever said that being able to use electronic gadgets makes you any smarter than you are. This just reinforces that fact. Her tolerance of people other than other liberals is nonexistent. Andrew, how is intolerance towards someone who surgically changes their gender any more acceptable than intolerance towards someone’s religious beliefs? I can’t see a difference. Respect, their choice, even if you don’t agree.
