By now most people have seen the video tape of the bus monitor being bullied. We only saw it because one of her tormenters just had to post it on his Facebook page. He inadvertantly snitched on himself and that was in fact a good thing. It is wonderful to see all of the people reaching out to the victim, but now her tormentors are recieivng death threats and this is equally ridiculous. It was sad to watch the tormentors hurl insults at the monitor, but everyday there are also thousands of children who are bullied and we will never know them nor will we see their stories. They need our help. At this point a website has collected donations for the bus monitor that now near $500K so if you are feeling generous today after you have seen her tape channel that compassion on the local level and simply find out what is going on on your child’s bus. Charity begins at home and spreads abroad.

Unfortunately these bullies are some of the young people who have been conditioned to this behavior. They watch these TV shows in which everybody is out to humiliate other humans: see The Survivors, The Housewifes of …, The Amazing Race,etc. Kids have become so vengeful. Put them all in the U.S. Army, the Marine Corps where they’ll get some discipline. Many parents will not discipline their kids but instead will attack, their coaches, referees, etc. if they think their darlings should win and never do any wrong. The baby boomer parents should have lived the 1930s Depression when if the teacher hit you for good reason and you went home and told your parents, your parent would hit you again because they believed you derserved it if a teacher hit you. God please save this country!
