Creflo Dollar was arrested this morning for assaulting his daughter. He contends that she wanted to go to a party and he said no. He said she then became disrespectful and they got into a scuffle. She called the police on her father. this was a family dispute that has gone global. Some would say no parent has a right to raise their hand to a child. I would also say that a child should never disrespect the hand that feeds them. We live in a society that encourages a child to dial 911. Teenagers have the capacity to push your buttons and I am sure his daughter pushed the wrong one this morning.

There are certainly some issues in this family. I don’t know who hit who first but it doesn’t matter. He is an adult male attacking a child. If he had done the same to a stranger, people would say the police should have been called.
It seems like his controlling ways aren’t working and he should be focusing on working out issues with his family in a constructive way instead concentrating so much on the ministry outside his home.
Parents still should be able to discipline their children. What part did the mother have in this incident? When children become pre-teens and older, its time for a new strategy of discipline.
I hope this incident will be resolved in a christian manner, and end in love and a united christian family. The daughter ha a lot to learn, and so has the father. She’s blessed to have a dad that loves her. I’m sure it a two parent home. Everybody does’nt have this in these times. I believe his emotions got out of hand before he cooled off. Parents make mistakes, and maybe he’ll make some better changes.

She’s a 15year old kid. He is an adult male who had no business being so physical with his daughter. My father raised two daughters and we both tested his patience yet he never choked us or had to be pulled of us. This is a man of God who offers counsel to others and should be able to control himself. As a religious leader you set yourself against a higher account than Joe Bloggs. The balance of blame lies with Creflo, he’s an adult and knew better. His behaviour was unacceptable. I wouldn’t let him babysit.
