Rape is not a sex act, AGREE
rape is an act of violence, AGREE
and an act of violence can not cure anything. DISAGREE*
I do agree that an act of violence is not a “cure” for the conduct as described .
At times , unfortunately , acts of violence are necessary to discourage , prevent or stop bullying.
Examples:
The shooting of Heydrich , bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki , violence including deadly force against a violent home invader , mugger , wannabe rapist , robber ,etc.
The young man who used a kitchen instrument against attacking women worked .

There is not enough information furnished to confirm that the DJ wants the daughter to engage in coitus against her will or whether she has reached the “ age of consent ” .
The age , circumstances of the kiss , type of kiss ,etc. are unknown to readers .
The DJ clearly is not an advice columnist and clearly was winging his comment .
I wonder whether the father had a talk with his daughter .
If he observed , a statement to his daughter that he felt the demonstration of affection was a tad unusual would be fair .

EM, you put words in the DJ’s mouth. He didn’t prescribe “corrective rape”, he suggested that sex with a man might “straighten her out”. I agree with Docile Jim Brady that there is not enough evidence to prove he advocated violence or sex against her will. Maybe a better question should be, “Is is possible to ‘screw someone straight’? I know, I know, it’s your blog and you can post as you want to, post as you want to…. I also can opine that you are mischaracterizing what the man said.
You make a good point he did not use the phrase I used the term corrective rape as a euphemism for “screw her straight”. Point will taken, but screwing someone straight does not suggest consenual sex. it suggests a violent act but I will adjust the headline in light of your observation.
