Scandal and Styled by June show how grown women really act

Real black women do not act like the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Basketball Wives, or Hip Hop Hoochies. They actually are more than the one-dimensional cartoon characters that clutter the cable networks. Two shows with promise feature strong women who happen to be black. One is ABC’s Scandal and the other one is VH1 Styled by June featuring June Ambrose. Read the linked story for more information on two shows worth watching. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/04/23/scandal-and-styled-by-june-allison-samuels-s-prime-time-saviors.html

I love Scandal! It is must see tv for me.
I did not like watching the Housewives or Basketball Wives (wife is used loosely because most aren’t married). They are sad and embarrassing.
The women in my circle are degreed and have/had successful careers. We were not able to relate to any of the women in the latter in shows.
