I really was not going to comment on Sarah Palin’s latest gaffe because those that like her don’t care and those of who don’t wouldn’t vote for her if she was running unopposed, but she refuses to admit she was wrong. She said that Paul Revere was warning the British. This is simply wrong. On Fox News today her home away from home she said “I didn’t mess up about Paul Revere.” “Part of his ride was to warn the British that were already there that ‘hey, you’re not going to take American arms, you are not going to beat our own well-armed persons individual private militia that we have.’” She blamed her previous answer on the media, saying it was a “gotcha question.” Really it was the media that “gotcha”. No Mama Grizzley you were wrong and too proud to admit. To quote from the good book “pride goeth before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.”
Sarah Palin Wants to make history, but first she needs to learn a little

EM you said that you were not going to comment on Palin’s most recent gaffe because those who don’t like her don’t care and would not vote for her even if she were unopposed. Does that type of sentiment toward her make her any different than any other potential candidate who has detractors? Do you think those who don’t like Barak Obama would be inclined to vote for him if he were unopposed?
Another observation is that you pointed out that Sarah Palin’s interview was on FOX NEWS, her home away from home. As I suspect you are aware, Sarah Palin is a paid contributor for FOX NEWS therefore one might regard her appearance there as being at her place of employment.
While I don’t necessarily disagree with many of your views regarding Palin, your bias against her is palpable. You are forthcoming in disclosing your dislike of her, and that is laudable. But I don’t think it best serves your readers to permit your bias to be reflected in virtually all of your commentary concerning her. It’s borders on appearing picayune.
I make no apologies regarding my feelings toward Palin. She was not qualified to be vp when McCain brought her to center stage. Former McCain inner circle members have admitted that she was not qualified. She is popular and among her ilk she can do no wrong, and there are plenty of blogs that support her, but this is not one of them.
Let me apologize for failing to effectively convey my point. If you interpreted my comments as a defense of Palin’s intellectual prowess then I failed miserably to make my point. Offer up all of the examples of those in the McCain camp who agree with you that she is not qualified as you like and from me you will get no disagreement. I have never on this blog expressed support for Palin’s candidacy.
My obvious shortcoming is possessing what is an apparently naïve view that one can be opposed to a person or policy yet manage to maintain objectivity. It is not your point of view regarding Palin on which I was commenting. It is your bias. But at this point I think that you’ve made it abundantly clear that objectivity is a trait in which you see no value.
Bill, you made your point now I’ll make my final point on this post. I do value objectivity but when it comes to Sarah Palin I will readily admit I am close-minded and if you regard that as lack of objectivity so be it.
Hey Joni I wasn’t sure if you were aware of this article in Wash Post. I already felt compelled to comment on it. Here you go…

What? You expecting me to defend THIS? I have no idea what her source is. Until she shares it and it can be validated, I will take the position that she got it wrong. She’s human. She makes mistakes. I just wish she wouldn’t make them in front of a camera. Kinda like Biden when he said FDR went on TV to talk to Americans about the depression. He was wrong too. Hey! guess she WAS qualified to be VP!!!
Okay, EM -I’m looking at some of the comments here and I’m scratching my head. The fact that Mrs. Palin is wrong is foundational to your post. But when I read your WHOLE post, it seemed that emphasis was not own how egregiously wrong Mrs. Palin was, but on the fact that she is too proud to admit it. Did I miss something here?
Follow the link at the bottom of the post and you will hear her stating why she is not wrong.
Yes, I saw it, and it reinforces my point. Everyone is wrong sometimes, but being too proud to admit it is a real problem. That’s what I took away from your post.
