Mayoral Candidate Carol Moseley Braun Calls Opponent a Crack Addict

This heated exchange took place at a mayoral debate in Chicago between Carol Mosely Braun and opponent Pat VanPelt-Watkins. At this point all the candidates with the exception of Rahm Emanuel are battling for second place. If Emanuel does not receive 50% of the vote there will be a runoff between him and the 2nd place candidate for the job. When Braun was questioned by Watkins about her absence from Chicago politics for the past 20 years she brought up Watkins past drug use. This was clearly a personal attack. Did Braun go too far?
