Glenn Miller is a write in candidate for the a Missouri Senate seat. He is running a series of racist ads on the radio and under federal law the stations are compelled to run the ads. There are no areas of gray in this situation. These ads are racist plain and simple, but the bigger issue is that the stations have to play them. Something is wrong with the system.

Do we need to protected from colossally moronic and stupid people like whoever this Glenn Miller is? I don’t.
So I look at it this way. Some group of idiots pooled their money to run this ad. They have now been separated from those funds, which are in the hands of a radio station. Good. If these idiots are being deprived of their resources, all the better. The guy is going to get about 7 votes, and that’s just because he’s gonna make all the cousins he’s married to vote.
If anything, this serves as a potent reminder that we live in the most free, open, politically accessible society ever constructed. No harm comes from it. Be offended. But don’t be worried.
Let’s assume this ad is real. (I haven’t heard about this until just today.) I much prefer to see the cockroaches scurry about in the open, rather than allow them to do their damage in the shadows. He’s outed himself. Good. Don’t let anyone say he snuck up on us. Most overt racists never, ever get very far.
We don’t have to assume it is real. It is. Just look it up. Before I would post something like this I would do some research on it because I am not trying to spread fake information.
I looked it up; it’s real alright. But I do agree with Elogam. This is offensive, but it’s not consequential.
