Tiger Woods’ new Nike commercial Features His Dead Father…Does it Work?

On the eve of the Masters Nike has released a new Tiger Woods ad. I admire the fact that Nike stood by their embattled star, but Woods has been a cash cow for the retailer, and we all know money talks. That being said I don’t know if this is the route they should have taken. Tell me what you think.

I actually like it. I listened to people complain this morning that it makes Tiger look like a “victim.” But the thing is, I think he is a “victim” of sorts. A victim of celebrity, and how it changes some people. Becomming powerful can make some otherwise normal, level headed people lose themselves. It happens to politicians and celebrities all the time, it destroys their marriages and their children and their careers. That’s not to say that Tiger does not hold any responsibility, or even that I feel sorry for him. But I sure am glad I’m not famous, that’s for sure!

    I found it creepy.
