You Know its Bad when Elisabeth Hasselbeck Criticizes Sarah Palin

Today on The View resident conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck criticized one her heros, Sarah Palin. Palin has placed this map on her Facebook page that uses crosshairs to show the districts that they will be challenging. It is fine to target the districts that she wants to claim for her party, but the imagery used to depict them is dangerous. The rhetoric has been hot and this is designed to stir the passions of the faithful. Hasselbeck has been the conservative voice amid the liberal ladies of The View. Today Hasselbeck took a bold step that many of the Republican leaders have been afraid to do. She spoke out forcefully against this and that took courage. When she expressed her disappointment of Palin’s actions we know that this can not be dismissed as the overreaction of sensitive liberals, this kind of thing is disturbing to most Americans.

I have to give Elizabeth her due for criticizing Republicans.

I am a Republican who is very opposed to the health care bill for too many reasons to name here. However, the people who are threatening and/or doing violence to Congress members who voted for the bill are just plain WRONG. Violence does not accomplish anything. Those of us who are opposed need to vote out the Congress members who did not listen to the American people; that is how we bring change. Threats and acts of violence are not the way to accomplish anything. It’s as bad as people who claim to be pro-life and then go and shoot abortion doctors or bomb abortion clinics. That is NOT the way to get Congress to listen! I agree with Elisabeth and am glad she spoke up against it.

Elisabeth Hesselbeck’s halo is on too tight. She either did not read what Sarah Palin said or doesn’t have the common sense to understand it. She is politically naive and anxious to cozy up with her liberal “buddies” so as not to be excluded from the View’s elitist social atmosphere. A defender of conservative causes she is not and won’t sit on her friends because she wants the social connections the View provides. Not the type person you want defending your back!
