Tears Are Shed as The View Crew Discuss the N-Word
Yesterday the ladies on The View discussed the use of the n-word. Both Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Sheppard admitted they use the word in comedy and in their personal life. Elizabeth Hasselbeck questioned why was it ok for them but offensive if she used it? A heated exchange followed with Elizabeth left in tears. There was no real resolution. All of this stemmed from Jesse Jackson’s open mic gaffe. The thing that was healthy about The View discussion is the fact that they were having it. I have friends of all races but we have never had this kind of discussion for fear of what it could do to the relationship. This election is bringing a number of taboo subjects to the table and ultimately it will help the country.
